Erasmus festival 2025 brings European spirit to Pafos Cyprus
The 2025 edition, organised by the FMELLP in collaboration with the Municipality of Pafos and the Pafos Municipality Youth Council, marked a significant shift away to reach people beyond the capital and strengthen local participation in Erasmus Days. The event gathered 32 beneficiary organisations. Throughout the afternoon, visitors discovered a wide range of activities, from interactive workshops and culinary demonstrations led by educational institutions to artistic performances by pupils from secondary and international schools. The atmosphere became even more international as around 150 Erasmus students, brought together by ESN Cyprus, joined the festival after exploring the city.
The programme continued into the evening with speeches from local and national representatives such as the Minister of Education, Sports and Youth, the mayor of Pafos and the President of the Pafos Municipality Youth Council, who highlighted the importance of Erasmus+ opportunities for young people and communities.
A key moment was the European Innovative Teaching Awards 2025 ceremony, honouring five beneficiary organisations. The festivities concluded with a concert by the local rock band On Tour, bringing together an estimated 1,000 visitors and confirming the success of relocating the event to Pafos.
