GHEORGH MUNTEANU MURGOCI NATIONAL COLLEGE

“Gheorghe Munteanu Murgoci” National College, Brăila proudly celebrates ErasmusDays 2025 under the theme “We Grow Together to Be a Team.” From 13 to 17 October 2025, students and teachers come together to share Erasmus+ experiences, showcase projects, and celebrate European values — Respect, Freedom, Democracy, Equality, Solidarity, and Inclusion.
Presentations: European Parliament & Council of Europe
The 7th-grade students took part in presentations and discussions at the European Parliament and the Council of Europe during the summer. These sessions provided valuable insights into European democratic institutions, decision-making processes, and the importance of civic engagement at a European level. Now the students will mke presentations about their visit at the European Parliament and the Council of Europe , sharing their experiences and knowledge with their classmates and teachers.
Cultural Exchanges – Erasmus+ Projects
In the last years through the Erasmus+ cultural exchange programmes, students and teachers from “Gheorghe Munteanu Murgoci” National College, Brăila, Romania, have had the opportunity to engage in meaningful educational collaborations with European partner schools. The members and coordinators of the projects will present them to students and parents during a conference dedicated to Erasmus Days. This event will provide an opportunity to showcase the projects’ objectives and activities, share experiences from international collaboration with students from others countries.
1. Erasmus+ Two-Year Partnership, Accreditation No. 2021-1-DE03-KA120-SCHULE-000047610, “UNESCO Heritage”, “Gheorghe Munteanu Murgoci” National College, Brăila, Romania- “Montessori-Schule Freising”, Freising, Germany
The “UNESCO Heritage” project focused on exploring and preserving cultural and natural heritage recognized by UNESCO in both countries. Through this initiative, students deepened their understanding of historical landmarks, traditions, and cultural values that shape European identity. Students developed a profound respect for European heritage, improved intercultural communication skills, and gained awareness of the importance of preserving cultural diversity.
2. Erasmus+ Short-Term Partnership, Project No. 2024-1-TR01-KA122-SCH-000226629, “Green and Sustainable Transformation to the Future – Step by Step”, “Gheorghe Munteanu Murgoci” National College, Brăila, Romania – “Yıldız Kız Anadolu İmam Hatip Lisesi”, Konya, Turkey
This project emphasized the importance of environmental education and sustainability. It encouraged students to adopt eco-friendly habits and promotes collaboration between schools in addressing environmental challenges through innovative and creative solutions. Students in both schools became more environmentally responsible, developing practical skills in sustainability and awareness of their shared responsibility for the planet’s future.
3. Erasmus+ Project No. 2024-1-IT02-KA122-SCH-000230404 “Improving Skills and Opening Up to Opportunities in Europe”, “Gheorghe Munteanu Murgoci” National College, Brăila, Romania – “Istituto Comprensivo Carolina Senatore – Martiri Scafati D’Ungheria”, Italy
This project aimed to equip students with the skills, knowledge, and confidence necessary to take advantage of the educational and professional opportunities available across Europe. It promoted mobility, cooperation, and the sharing of good practices among both educational institutions and the students improved their linguistic, digital, and social competences, gained new perspectives on European education and employment pathways, and built long-term friendships with peers from partner countries.
Exhibition of Drawings
At “Gheorghe Munteanu Murgoci” National College, Brăila, students celebrate #ErasmusDays 2025 through an inspiring Exhibition of Drawings. Under the theme “We Grow Together to Be a Team”, middle and high school students express, through color and creativity, their vision of Europe, friendship, and unity. The artworks reflect the values of the European Union — respect, freedom, democracy, equality, solidarity, and inclusion — illustrating the true spirit of Erasmus+: cooperation and cultural diversity.
Ongoing Erasmus+ Project
“Robogreen -Innovation and Responsibility for a Clean Environment” Project No. 2025-1-RO01-KA220-SCH-000360089
“Gheorghe Munteanu Murgoci” National College is participating in Robogreen, a European partnership project focused on STEAM education, innovation, and environmental sustainability. The project involves six partner schools across Europe — Romania ,Spain, Portugal, Greece, Italy and Poland — working together to exchange good practices, develop digital and robotic solutions, and address real environmental challenges. By combining robotics, artificial intelligence, and digital technologies, students and teachers collaborate on interdisciplinary, practical projects that foster creativity, problem-solving, and international cooperation, preparing young people for a sustainable and innovative future. Robogreen not only develops students’ technical and digital skills, but also instills a sense of responsibility for the planet. By combining creativity, science, and sustainability, the project helps prepare young people to tackle global challenges and promotes collaboration, intercultural understanding, and European The members and coordinators of the project will present to the Murgoci community the objectives and activities of the project.
Erasmus+ Dissemination
As part of Erasmus+ dissemination, the teacher Elena Olguta Stroe from “Gheorghe Munteanu Murgoci” National College who presented the project “Green and Sustainable Transformation to the Future – Step by Step” in Turkey, now she will share the experiences, best practices, and insights on environmental education and sustainability with the Murgoci school community.
