Conservatorio Profesional de Danza "José Espadero" de Alicante
United in Motion is our Erasmus Days 2025 celebration at the Conservatory of Dance José Espadero in Alicante. This event aims to introduce the Erasmus+ programme to our entire educational community, highlighting its values and opportunities for both students and teachers. Inspired by the official motto “Live our values, inspire our future”, the afternoon will combine an informative presentation with artistic and participatory activities, showing how dance can bring people together and reflect the common European values of inclusion, diversity, sustainability, and participation.
PROGRAMME (October 13 – Afternoon)
• Welcome and Erasmus+ Presentation – Introduction to the Erasmus+ programme, its opportunities, and its core values. Presentation of our project and the start of the upcoming mobility to the whole educational community.
• Dance Performance: “United in Motion” – A choreography performed by students representing unity, diversity, and a shared European identity.
• Participatory Activity: Learn a Step – A short and inclusive workshop where everyone will have the chance to learn a dance step inspired by the presented choreography.
• Final Reflection Wall – A collaborative mural where students will write a word or phrase in response to: “Which value will inspire your future?”
OBJECTIVES OF THE EVENT
• To introduce the Erasmus+ programme and our project to students, families, teachers, and the general public.
• To promote the fundamental values of the European Union: inclusion, diversity, sustainability, and democratic participation.
• To foster European identity and belonging through the artistic experience.
• To start raising awareness of today’s challenges (environment, digitalisation, equality, and inclusion) through artistic practice.
• To involve the entire educational community in the launch of our Erasmus+ project in a dynamic and accessible way.
HOW WE ADDRESS THE ERASMUS + HORIZONTAL PRIORITIES
Environment and Fight Against Climate Change:
The choreography and the workshop will incorporate movements inspired by nature and the interdependence of living beings. Environmental awareness will also be promoted in the final reflection, encouraging participants to consider which green values will guide their future.
Digital Transformation:
The digital dimension will be integrated into the event through the recording and editing of a video summary of United in Motion. This audiovisual material will showcase the highlights of the day, including the programme presentation, the dance performance, the participatory workshop, and the reflection wall. The video will be shared on the Conservatory’s social media platforms, institutional website, and Erasmus+ channels, thus extending the event’s reach and ensuring accessibility for the entire educational community, especially those unable to attend in person. Students will actively participate in the creation and editing process, enhancing their digital competences, while the use of digital tools strengthens the project’s visibility and impact.
Inclusion and Diversity:
The dance workshop is designed to be short, accessible, and participatory, allowing everyone—regardless of age, level, or background—to take part in the experience.
Participation in Democratic Life:
The final mural and open reflection give participants an opportunity to actively engage by expressing the values they consider most important for inspiring the future. This symbolic exercise highlights the importance of individual voices in building a shared identity.
MEANING OF THE TITLE “UNITED IN MOTION”
The title captures the essence of the event: unity in movement as a metaphor for a diverse and constantly evolving Europe. Dance represents cooperation, inclusion, and the strength of shared values, projecting into the future a message of collective inspiration.
