The project “The European Sun of Wellbeing”, organized within Erasmus Days 2025, celebrates European cooperation, cultural friendship, and experiential learning. Its main goal is to promote wellbeing in the school community while strengthening the European values of solidarity, diversity, and mutual respect.
The activity encourages students to explore how wellbeing supports both personal growth and collective harmony. Through guided reflection, they learn that wellbeing is not simply the absence of problems but the ability to maintain balance, resilience, and confidence even during challenges. By linking wellbeing to effort and learning, the project emphasizes that emotional balance enhances academic motivation and performance.
The structure of the activity unfolds in symbolic and creative steps. First, students reflect on “My European Ray of Wellbeing”, writing or drawing what motivates them—encouragement, friendship, being heard, or receiving constructive feedback. These rays symbolize their personal contributions to a positive learning environment. Second, in “The Star that Lights up Europe”, students commit to actions fostering wellbeing at school and across cultures: respecting different opinions, sharing traditions, smiling and showing gratitude in multiple languages, or learning from mistakes.
The rays and stars are then combined into a collective artwork—“The Sun of Our Europe”—a large collage representing light, diversity, and unity. At its center, the phrase “Wellbeing begins with me and shines when we are together” highlights the link between individual responsibility and shared happiness.
The activity concludes with guided discussions about how wellbeing connects to learning, effort, and intercultural exchange. Students also design slogans such as “United in Wellbeing – Together We Shine!”, reinforcing collective identity.
Overall, the project integrates reflection, creativity, and collaboration, showing that wellbeing is a shared European value that illuminates education, friendship, and community across borders.
