Southern Italian Music & Dance Night

A Celebration of Southern Italian Traditions in Budapest

This special evening takes inspiration from our experiences at the Madonna delle Galline festival in Pagani and our cultural journey to Naples. With this event, we are bringing the vibrant spirit of Southern Italy to Budapest, sharing its music, dance, and festive atmosphere.
On stage, audiences will enjoy the powerful rhythms of the tammurriata, the pizzica, and other traditional dances and melodies from Southern Italy. Beyond the performance, participants will also have the opportunity to learn the basic steps and actively join in the dance, making the evening both engaging and interactive.
The concert is part of a wider project:

8 October – Opening of the photography exhibition dedicated to our journey to Pagani (open for 2 weeks)
During these two weeks – Two dance classes introducing traditional Southern Italian rhythms and movements
16 October – The main event: Concert & dance with “I Frizzica” band

This cultural programme is organized with the support of the Erasmus+ Programme and aims to foster cultural exchange, creativity, and community participation.
