Searching for the Hidden Green Treasure” initiative is a unique dissemination activity of RDEWG for the ErasmusDays2025. It’s an educational scavenger hunt designed by students that combines creativity, community engagement, and the use of digital tools.

The activity begins with students creating and decorating flowerpots. A QR-Code is then attached to each pot. This code leads the “treasure hunters” to the school’s or the Erasmus+ project’s website, promoting the work being done.

Once the pots are ready, the game begins. The students hide the pots in various locations around the community and post photo-riddles on social media to provide clues about their whereabouts. Participants—including parents, friends, and local community members—are invited to find them.

The game has a “traveling” element: whoever finds a pot can either move it to a new location to continue the game or keep it. Every time a pot is found, the finder posts a photo on social media, confirming the discovery and offering new clues for the next search, creating a chain reaction.

The goal of this initiative is to disseminate and promote the European projects to the local community in a fun and interactive way. At the same time, it raises environmental awareness, encourages teamwork, and promotes the responsible use of social media as a tool for community service and volunteerism.
