Promoting Erasmus+ Values Through Collaborative Logo Design
Rúa Da Carrasqueira 68, Vigo, Municipality of Vigo, Spain
IES Coruxo
To raise awareness of the new project and engage teachers, students, families, and the wider school community, we are launching innovative, distinctive, and effective actions that involve all sectors of our community.
The first actions focus on visibility—especially important for a new project of such significance to our school. One of these initiatives is the collaborative design of the project’s logo, created with the participation of all students, teachers, families, and even cleaning staff.
Before beginning the logo design process in each classroom, teachers highlighted the importance of ensuring the logo reflects the project’s core values: sustainability, marine focus, participation, digital innovation, inclusivity, and, of course, its European dimension.
All students at the school—particularly those in compulsory secondary education (ESO)—have participated in designing the logo, creatively expressing their vision of the project and its values through their submissions. More than 50 proposals have been submitted by nearly 300 ESO students, thanks to the dedication of much of our teaching staff.
The winning logo will be selected on October 13th (ErasmusDay) by a diverse committee made up of high school students, families, non-teaching staff, teachers, and the school’s management team. The selection process will follow a rubric agreed upon by the committee. Currently, all logo submissions are displayed in the central courtyard, where the winning design will be announced and showcased on a large screen. All entries must be hand-drawn and later digitized to create a digital wall, allowing the designs to be shared in the school’s virtual classroom, on the website, and across social media platforms.
During the same week as ErasmusDay, once the winning logo is chosen, the Erasmus team will use tutorial sessions to introduce the next phases of this project to the students.
In summary, these activities mark the initial dissemination of the project, laying the groundwork for future joint activities with our European partners, including preparations for hosting and mobilities.
