Project Description – Erasmus Days 2025
The Erasmus Days provide an opportunity to make Erasmus+ and the European Union visible at our school. The aim of the project is to give students knowledge about the EU, its institutions, and the Erasmus+ programme, while sparking curiosity about European encounters. A special focus will be placed on Brussels as the capital of the EU, since an Erasmus mobility with our partner school in Germany will take place two weeks later.
Objectives:
– Students learn about the basic principles and the significance of the European Union.
– Students gain insights into the opportunities Erasmus+ offers for young people.
– Brussels, as Europe’s political and cultural centre, will be brought to life.
– Motivation and anticipation for the upcoming Erasmus mobility will be strengthened.
Content and Schedule:
– As part of the project day, an EU learning desk will be set up. It will consist of several thematic stations prepared by teachers and actively explored by students:
– Station Erasmus+: Presentation of the programme, testimonials from former participants, information materials.
– Station European Union: History, member states, symbols, rights and benefits for EU citizens.
– Station EU Institutions: Quiz on the roles of the Parliament, the Commission, and the Council.
– Station Experiencing Brussels: Virtual city tour, insights into the European Parliament, culinary and cultural highlights.
– Interactive elements on EU-related topics.
