Digital competence and literacy

This project is a five-day training event aimed at improving digital literacy and awareness of cybersecurity and fake news among young people aged 18-30.

The main objective is to provide participants with the knowledge and practical skills needed to critically address key issues, including emotional safety online, digital rights and privacy, identifying misinformation, digital literacy and responsible use of social media. In doing so, the event also seeks to generate a unified set of recommendations to inform and inform the future EU digital policies.

The methodology is participatory and interdisciplinary. Prior to the event, a questionnaire will be distributed to know participants’ thematic interests, ensuring that each participant is assigned to the group that best aligns with their preferred area of interest.

EU Digital Security and Social Media Lab is designed to provide an interactive platform where participants can deepen their understanding of current digital challenges while constructively contributing to the development of the EU’s future digital strategies.
