Erasmus+ Impact Talks: Addiction Awareness Across Borders

Join us for a special Erasmus Days online meeting organized by Insani Hayat Association and International Balkan University!
This session will bring together participants from Turkiye and International Balkan University’s students from North Macedonia who took part in our Erasmus+ KA153 project “International Basic Addiction Education.”
A total of 20 participants from Türkiye took part in the project.This group consisted of 5 students involved in project writing and management, 8 undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students or graduates and educators selected from the departments of Sociology, Psychology, Psychological Counseling and Guidance, and Social Work, 3 trainers who conducted the educational sessions, 1 Project Coordinator, and 3 members of Insani Hayat association’s board of directors. In North Macedonia, 50 participants took part in the training sessions. These participants were selected among students and educators studying or graduated from the fields of Sociology, Psychology, Psychological Counseling and Guidance, and Social Work. A total of 20 participants were granted the opportunity to take part in the mobility implemented in Turkiye.
Within this scope, the project aimed to raise awareness in the fight against addiction, to create a support network among young people, to provide opportunities for experiential learning, to strengthen international cooperation, and to foster an inclusive and participatory environment. Accordingly, the project sought to empower young people to become more conscious about addiction issues, to develop effective strategies in combating addictions, to take an active role in prevention and intervention efforts, and to produce scientific and practical solutions to social problems within their communities.
During this interactive event, webinar, participants will share what they have done after the project, how they have continued to develop themselves in the field of addiction awareness, and what kind of steps they plan to take in the future. We will also discuss some of the project outcomes and explore how the connections built during the mobility have been sustained. It will be a great opportunity to reflect, reconnect, and celebrate the impact of our Erasmus+ experience together.
