CLIL Project – Final Reflections and Educational Continuity
“Diversity is our strength and the key to our success in a complex and interconnected world. Through tolerance and acceptance, we can build bridges between cultures and celebrate what unites us, while respecting what makes us different. In the midst of diversity, we find unity and the beauty of our shared life.” – Malala Yousafzai

The event “ERASMUS IN OUR LIFE”, organized as part of Erasmus Days 2025, offered “Șerban Vodă” Theoretical High School in Slănic a new opportunity to celebrate the European dimension of education and to reflect on the experience gained through the recently completed Erasmus+ CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) project. This edition was dedicated to the final dissemination of results, the promotion of good practices, and the presentation of the real impact the project had on students, teachers, and the school community.

The CLIL project marked a profound stage of transformation in the teaching and learning process, demonstrating that integrating subject content with English language learning brings multiple benefits. Through an interdisciplinary and communicative approach, students learned to combine knowledge with expression in foreign languages, acquiring essential cognitive, social, and intercultural skills for the 21st century. During the Erasmus Days event, participating teachers presented their experiences from European mobilities, examples of CLIL lessons, digital resources created during the project, and impressions of collaboration with partner schools from participating European countries.

The activities of this edition were designed to highlight how European values—cooperation, inclusion, respect for diversity, and openness to innovation—were reflected in the school’s daily life. The event featured presentations, thematic exhibitions, artistic moments, and interactive workshops through which students explored the culture and language of their European partners. A tradition born during the CLIL project, the “Word of the Day in Another Language” activity continued, allowing students to discover a new term every day in a different European language. This activity stimulates linguistic curiosity, strengthens communication skills, and promotes cultural tolerance in a playful and engaging way.

For dissemination purposes, teachers created visual materials, leaflets, and posters, while digital presentations illustrated the positive impact of the CLIL method among students. Through social media and the school’s website, the Erasmus+ message was shared with the local community, proving that European education is a living resource that continues to inspire even after the official conclusion of the project. The active participation of parents, collaboration with local authorities, and the enthusiasm of students contributed to the success of the event, turning Erasmus Days into a true celebration of unity through diversity.

The event also served as an occasion to express gratitude to everyone involved in the implementation of the Erasmus+ CLIL project: the teachers who took part in mobilities, the students who benefited from innovative learning methods, and the European partners who supported the process of training and exchange of good practices. During reflection sessions, participants discussed ways to continue the activities initiated within the project and the possibility of integrating CLIL principles into other curricular areas, thus ensuring the sustainability of the results.

Although the CLIL project has officially ended, its impact continues to be felt in the school’s life. Teachers have gained enhanced skills in using English and applying modern teaching methods; students are more motivated and actively engaged in learning activities; and the school community has become more united, open, and connected to European values. In essence, the Erasmus+ spirit has evolved into an institutional culture of openness and cooperation—a clear demonstration that learning does not end with a project but continues to expand through practice and collaboration.

We extend our sincere thanks to all those who contributed to the success of the project and the organization of this event: the implementation team, colleagues, students, parents, and community partners. Erasmus Days 2025 was a celebration of diversity and unity through education, reaffirming that “Erasmus is in our life” not merely as a memory of a project, but as a living reality that continues to inspire and shape future generations.
