EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION AND ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS – CRAFTS FROM RECYCLED MATERIALS

The Thematic S.A.E.K. of Thessaloniki will organize a workshop on making toys for young children, from recyclable and reusable everyday materials, on Thursday, October 16, 2025. Trainees specializing in EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION ASSISTANTS will participate, and anyone interested is invited to attend.
There will be, also, presentation on environmental awareness and the development of ecological consciousness, which is cultivated through information and education from early childhood. We learn to recycle, reuse, adopt sustainable habits, and respect the natural environment.
Educating and cultivating ecological awareness from an early age, is achieved through interactive games and activities:
• contact with nature
• amiliarization with animals, plants, ecosystems
• familiarization with waste and recyclable materials
• distinguishing between recyclable and non-recyclable waste
• familiarity with the blue bin and the existence of other bins, according to the products we collect there
• development of environmentally friendly attitudes and behaviors
