Erasmus Days — Ion Creanga Kindergarten, Zalau (Salaj)
13–18 October 2025 — Early Years education hub celebrating Erasmus+ values, international partnerships, and young learners’ creativity.
Short description:
A warm, activity-packed week where pre-school children, families and teachers at Ion Creanga Kindergarten Zalau showcase Erasmus+ projects, try multilingual & intercultural activities, share outdoor learning and green-play workshops, and celebrate European Erasmus+ projects.
A colourful, child-friendly festival across the kindergarten building and gardens: displays of children’s artwork, flags and posters from partner countries, a small exhibition of past Erasmus projects and photos.
Daily mini-themes linking to Erasmus values (inclusion, innovation, sustainability, languages, creativity, cooperation). Each day mixes short child-centred activities (20–40 minutes), parent-teacher micro-sessions and a public showcase.
ErasmusDays Programme:
Day 1 — Welcome & Europe Day for Little Explorers
Morning: Opening parade with flags, welcome by headteacher; circle time with a simple, illustrated talk about Europe.
Afternoon: Multilingual song session (Romanian + partner languages), story corners.
Day 2 — Play, Learn, Reuse (Sustainability)
Gardening workshop in the kindergarten yard (planting bulbs/vegetables), recycled-materials crafts and a short parents’ talk on eco-education.
Day 3 — STEM & Movement
Outdoor STEM play (build simple ramps, water play), motor skills obstacle course, “mini inventors” table with safe, hands-on challenges.
Day 4 — Culture & Inclusion
Taste & textures corner (safe snacks from partner countries or local adapted versions), puppet show featuring folktales from Erasmus partners, inclusive play activities.
Day 5 — Digital Corner & Teacher Exchange
Showcase of learning resources developed in Erasmus projects (photos, short videos, digital storybooks); short practical workshop for local teachers on play-based digital tools used in past KA2 partnerships.
Day 6 — Festival Day & Certificates
Morning: performances by children (songs, dances), parents invited; Afternoon: photo exhibition, handing out participation certificates, group photo for Erasmus Days social media.
Learning goals & outcomes:
Raise awareness of European cooperation and Erasmus+ among very young learners and families.
Share good practice from previous Erasmus projects (e.g., KA2 partnerships the kindergarten has run).
Strengthen community engagement through inclusive, sustainable and play-based learning activities.
