Official Reception by the Mayor: Local Roots, European Wings

The official reception will be hosted by the Mayor of Igorre (Biscay, The Basque Country) at the Town Hall. As a former Erasmus student herself, the Mayor embodies the spirit of international exchange and European cooperation. In her welcoming address, she will greet the visiting and local students and teachers, highlighting the importance of Erasmus+ in shaping personal and professional lives, while underlining how European values can be nurtured and celebrated at the local level.

The ceremony will emphasize the strong ties between our village and the wider European community, showing how small places contribute to building a united, open, and diverse Europe. Following the speeches, there will be an opportunity for dialogue, where students can share their experiences, ideas, and hopes for Europe’s future.
