Language as a Bridge: Discovering European Culture Through English

This event aims to show students how learning English helps us understand and appreciate European cultures. Through interactive and fun activities, students will explore different aspects of European countries — all in English!
1. Warm-up: Why Learn English?
Short interactive talk by the English teacher on how English connects us with people from different countries and why it’s important in Europe.

2. “Travel Around Europe” Activity Stations
Classroom is divided into 4–5 country corners (e.g., France, Italy, Germany, Spain, Greece).
At each station students will:

Read a cultural fact in English

Match images (e.g., flag, food, famous places)

Do a simple activity (mini puzzle, word game, or art task)

3. My Favorite Country Poster
Students choose one European country and create a small poster in English including:

Country name

A traditional food or famous place

A sentence: “I want to visit ___ because ___.”

4. European Music & Snack Time
Play soft traditional or modern European songs. If possible, serve small snacks (with English labels).

5. Reflection Wall: What Did I Learn?
Students write one English sentence about what they learned today and stick it on a wall or board.
