English innovative tools and teaching methods – France

Since 2018, the Pierre de Coubertin school in Perpignan (France) has been involved in an innovative English language immersion project for all pupils from CP to CM2. In order to ensure high-quality teaching, the teaching team has taken part in the ERASMUS+ programme, which provides the opportunity to improve language skills, discover innovative tools and teaching methods, and become familiar with the CLIL method (teaching a non-linguistic subject in a foreign language)

To celebrate #ErasmusDays, the school opened its doors to parents, giving them the chance to experience the project with their children: the parents prepared cultural, creative, sporting and culinary workshops around the theme of Halloween, which has European origins, and then came to run them in English with the pupils during the week of 14 to 19 October.
It was a great week of festivities, during which the European Union and the opportunities it offers were showcased!
