Center for Special Educational Support - Velingrad
The event will be aimed at the students from the CSE and will be practical and interactive. The main idea is for students with SEN to experience Europe through play, creativity, music, digital technologies and teamwork, to learn more about different European countries and at the same time to show and develop their skills.
1. “Europe is coming to us”At the beginning,
students will be introduced to the Erasmus+ Programme and the Erasmus Days initiative in an accessible and visual way. A large map of Europe will be used, on which different European countries will be marked. Students will look at the flags of countries, photos of famous landmarks, traditional foods and characteristic symbols. They will listen to short music snippets and learn greetings or individual words in different European languages.
2. Creative workshop “My Europe”
The students will be divided into small groups and will participate in the development of a common map of Europe, on which they will be placed:
• flags of European countries;
• images of famous landmarks;
• photos and images of typical foods;
Each student will have a specific task – coloring, cutting, gluing, arranging or pasting images. Adapted materials, templates, ready-made images, colored cards, stickers and pictograms will be used, so that all students can participate according to their individual capabilities.
3. “Erasmus+ and the Digital World”
In this part, students will get acquainted with the possibilities of digital technologies and artificial intelligence through practical demonstrations and tasks.
With the help of Open AI, short and accessible texts, fairy tales or social stories related to a trip to a European country, meeting new people, visiting a school or participating in a European event will be created. Students will be able to participate in the creation of a short song for Erasmus+, and with the help of AI, a musical composition will be generated based on an idea and lyrics created by the participants. Other appropriate digital tools will also be used to create images, presentations and short interactive materials.
At the end of the event, each student will choose or craft a symbol that shows what they can and has learned.
All student works will be united in a common panel with the inscription:
“WE CAN DO MORE – ERASMUS+ UNITES US!”
The event will be filmed and presented through photographic material, student products and a short publication in the information channels of the CSE – Velingrad.
