Your Future, Your Europe
1st-year Basic VET classroom, first floor
Calle Padre Villoslada, 2, 18140 La Zubia, Granada, Spain
Fundación Docete Omnes
“Your Future, Your Europe” is an informative and motivational session addressed to first- and second-year Basic Vocational Education and Training students at CDP La Blanca Paloma, Fundación Docete Omnes. Students will discover how continuing their educational pathway, including progressing to Higher Vocational Education and Training, can open the door to future Erasmus+ mobility opportunities.
The activity is particularly relevant for a group of young people who may be considered learners with fewer opportunities, as they can face social, economic or educational barriers that may limit their access to information, international experiences and opportunities for personal and professional development.
In line with the Erasmus+ priorities of Inclusion and Diversity and Participation in democratic life, common values and civic engagement, the event aims to bring the European dimension closer to these young people, ensure equal access to information about European opportunities and strengthen their sense of belonging to Europe and its shared values.
Through an accessible and motivating presentation, students will discover the different opportunities available to them throughout their educational and personal journey. Particular attention will be given to Erasmus+ mobility opportunities in Vocational Education and Training, including the possibility of completing part of their work-based learning experience abroad if they continue their studies.
The session will also introduce other opportunities for young people, such as the European Solidarity Corps, volunteering and European youth initiatives, helping participants understand that European mobility and participation are not limited to university students and that there are different pathways to become involved in Europe.
A former student of CDP La Blanca Paloma who completed an Erasmus+ traineeship abroad will share her first-hand experience, providing participants with a relatable example and helping them see international mobility as an achievable opportunity rather than something distant from their own reality.
The activity will also highlight the value of language learning and multilingual competence, particularly English as a tool for communication, mobility, employability and intercultural exchange in Europe.
Ultimately, the event seeks to raise awareness, reduce barriers to participation, broaden young people’s horizons and empower them to take advantage of European opportunities, while fostering active citizenship, intercultural understanding and a stronger connection with the European project.
