Would You Survive a Day Without Your Smartphone? – Digital Wellbeing and Responsible Technology Use
Faculty of Education and Psychology
Głęboka 43, Lublin, Poland
Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin, Poland
As part of Erasmus Days 2026, students at Maria Curie-Skłodowska University will take part in an interactive activity devoted to digital wellbeing, smartphone use and responsible engagement with digital technologies.
Students will be invited to reflect on what balanced and responsible smartphone use means to them and to propose practical ideas for promoting healthier and more reflective digital habits in educational settings.
The activity will also introduce the START-DS Erasmus+ project – Smartphone as a Tool for an Active and Reflective Transition toward Digital School. The project promotes the critical and purposeful use of smartphones in education, supporting rather than replacing relationships between students and teachers. It focuses on digital transformation, wellbeing, self-reflection, social and emotional skills, and the development of responsible digital practices among students, teachers and school leaders.
The event aims to raise awareness of digital wellbeing, encourage critical reflection on everyday technology use, strengthen student voice and promote the START-DS project within the university community.
