Erasmus Week 2026 at Special Primary School No. 40 in Bytom will be an event promoting the idea of the Erasmus+ programme and its importance for the development of students, teachers and the entire school community. The main aim of the event is to develop future skills, particularly cooperation, communication, creativity, independence and digital competences. An important element of the event will also be learning about European countries and cultures and strengthening students’ sense of belonging to the European community. During the planned activities, students will learn about the values of the European Union, such as respect, diversity, equality, solidarity and cooperation. Particular emphasis will be placed on including students with different educational needs in active project activities adapted to their abilities and interests. As part of Erasmus Week, workshops developing Life Skills, Communication Skills, Creative Skills, Digital Skills and Social Skills will be organised, giving students the opportunity to develop, in a practical way, competences needed in everyday life as well as in their future education and work. Students will take part, among other activities, in workshops entitled “Future Skills Laboratory”, “Future Technologies”, “Soft Skills – The Key to the Future”, “Digital Project Logo”, “Digital Quiz about Europe” and “European Meeting with a Friend – Digital and Language Workshops”. An important event will be the opening assembly of Erasmus Week and the joint “We in Europe” activities, involving students from Years 1–8 and giving them an opportunity to present their knowledge, creativity and interest in Europe. During the workshops, students will also use information and communication technologies, developing their ability to use digital tools safely and creatively. Erasmus Week will conclude with the presentation of the “We in Europe” exhibition in the school hall, allowing the results of the students’ work to be presented to the entire school community and highlighting that Erasmus+ can provide a space for development, cooperation, integration and discovering one’s own potential.
