The duty to remember

Pupils from Sint-Jozef in Ostend (Belgium) and the Lycée Professionnel Leon Blum in Perpignan (France) will work together during a Franco-Belgian exchange on the theme of ‘The duty to remember’ and collective memory (WWII). Through knowledge and awareness, active respect and historical empathy, we emphasise European values such as freedom and democracy. The activities are designed to encourage young people to reflect on their own responsibility in a democratic society, in which fundamental rights and freedoms are respected.
