As part of our Erasmus Days celebration, our school will organise a series of creative, collaborative and educational activities under the title “Europe in Our Hands.”
The project aims to celebrate European diversity, promote cultural awareness and encourage students to develop essential skills for the future through art, digital storytelling, sustainable crafts and teamwork.
The activities will include:
A European Flags Triptych: Students will create a three-panel artwork representing the Bierzo region, our European partner countries and our shared vision for the future.
Recycled European Flag Bunting: Primary school students will design colourful garlands using recycled materials to decorate the school and celebrate European diversity.
Discover Ponferrada: Students will produce short videos in English, lasting 30–45 seconds, showcasing the cultural, historical and natural highlights of Ponferrada and El Bierzo.
The Scents of Europe: Students will participate in a creative workshop to make handmade scented soaps inspired by European nature and traditions.
Carry Europe With You: Students will decorate reusable fabric bags with European symbols, flags and messages promoting unity, sustainability and friendship.
The final outcome will be a school-wide exhibition and celebration where students can share their work, discover different European cultures and reflect on the importance of cooperation, creativity and lifelong learning.
Through this initiative, we want to show that Europe is not only a place on the map, but also a community where we can learn from one another, grow together and build a better future.
Learning together, growing together!
