This October, early childhood educators from Finland, Italy, Norway, and Romania will come together for a 2-day, in-person training workshop, as part of the Erasmus+ project MusEdu — Early Education in Museums for an Inclusive Future. MusEdu is a 24-month Erasmus+ (KA220-SCH) Cooperation Partnership, coordinated by the University of Lapland (Finland), bringing together 8 partners from Finland, Italy, Norway, and Romania:
Lapin Yliopisto (University of Lapland) — coordinator — Finland
PACO Design Collaborative — Italy
Asociația All Grow — Romania
AHO — Arkitektur og Designhøgskolen i Oslo (Oslo School of Architecture and Design) — Norway
Scuola dell’Infanzia Paritaria “Maria Bambina” — Italy
Rovaniemen kaupunki (Rovaniemi Art Museum) — Finland
Grădinița cu Program Normal Piticot, Buzău — Romania
MiA — Museene i Akershus (Linderud Manor Museum) — Norway
The project brings museums closer to kindergartens, using art-based activities and museum visits to help preschoolers (ages 3–6) explore culture, creativity, and community through play.
Hosted in Romania by Asociația All Grow, this training will introduce educators to five hands-on units combining art-based learning, design and systems thinking, active citizenship, and museum-kindergarten collaboration.
Participants will test and help refine the training materials before piloting them with children back in their own countries, contributing directly to an open, free curriculum for early childhood educators across Europe.
