Conference Exhibition Presentation

Prof. Dr. Mümtaz Turhan Social Sciences High School will celebrate Erasmus Days 2026 with a one-day event bringing together European cultural diversity, artificial intelligence, media literacy and the skills needed for the future.
The event will open with a presentation by Associate Professor Dr Tuncer Can from Istanbul University-Cerrahpaşa on artificial intelligence and language learning, exploring how AI is transforming education and the ways we learn, communicate and develop new skills.
Following the presentation, students and visitors will be invited to explore an exhibition area featuring interactive stands and hands-on activities.
European Cultural Heritage and Diversity: Dedicated stands will introduce Türkiye, Germany, France, Italy and Spain through their history, art, cuisine, traditional clothing, languages and cultural heritage. Posters, educational materials and card games will encourage participants to discover similarities and differences between cultures and develop intercultural awareness.
AI Literacy – AI vs Human: Participants will examine examples of human-created and AI-generated content and try to distinguish between them. The activities will encourage critical thinking, creativity and a better understanding of the capabilities and limitations of artificial intelligence.
Media Literacy – Fake vs Real: Through interactive challenges, students will analyse news items and distinguish reliable information from misinformation. They will explore how to evaluate sources, recognise misleading content and become more responsible digital citizens.
Future Skills and Careers 2035: This stand will explore possible future professions, emerging technologies and the skills young people may need in 2035. Students will discover how digital competence, creativity, communication, adaptability and critical thinking may shape future careers. Imaginative future-fashion outfits will add a creative and engaging dimension to the exhibition.
AI-Supported Digital Storytelling – TÜBİTAK Project Showcase: Three female students from Şehit Mehmet Karaaslan International Girls Anatolian Religious High School will present an AI-supported digital storytelling project previously conducted at their school under the guidance of a teacher who is now part of our school community. Their presentation will demonstrate how AI tools can support creative expression, digital storytelling and student learning.
Through expert input, student presentations, cultural exploration and interactive challenges, Erasmus Days 2026 will connect European cultural awareness with the responsible use of technology and the development of future-ready skills. The event aims to inspire students to become critical thinkers, creative problem-solvers, responsible digital citizens and open-minded European and global citizens, while encouraging interest in future Erasmus+ and eTwinning collaborations.
Target group: High school students, teachers and members of the school community.
Expected outcomes: Increased awareness of European cultural diversity; improved AI and media literacy; greater understanding of future skills and careers; recognition of student creativity and project-based learning; and stronger interest in European cooperation and future educational partnerships.
