# ERASMUS DAYS 2026
## “Skills Beyond Borders” – Discover Europe, Explore Careers!

As part of **Erasmus Days 2026**, Zespół Szkół Specjalnych nr 14 in Gorzów Wielkopolski is organising a special event under the theme **“Skills Beyond Borders.”**

The main aim of the event is to introduce students to the Erasmus+ programme, highlight the opportunities it offers, and encourage young people to discover new skills, explore different professions and gain confidence in their abilities.

We want our students to understand that Erasmus+ is much more than travelling abroad. It is an opportunity to gain practical work experience, discover new cultures, develop independence, make new friends and overcome personal barriers.

### 1. Explore Your Skills – Four Vocational Activity Stations

One of the main attractions will be four interactive vocational stations where students will have the opportunity to try out different professions.

Participants will be encouraged to explore not only their own vocational specialisation but also other career paths through practical, hands-on activities.

**Hairdressing Station – “Be a Hairstylist!”**

Students will identify hairdressing tools and accessories, match equipment to different tasks and create simple hairstyles using training heads.

**Catering Station – “Flavours of Europe”**

Participants will identify herbs and spices by smell, match ingredients to recipes, explore simple cooking instructions and practise setting a table correctly.

**Automotive Station – “Inside the Workshop”**

Students will identify basic mechanical tools and car parts, match them to their functions and complete simple technical challenges.

**Hospitality Station – “Welcome to Our Hotel!”**

Participants will practise making a hotel bed, folding towels, identifying hotel room equipment and completing basic guest-service tasks.

All activities will be adapted to students’ individual abilities and needs, with an emphasis on learning through experience, teamwork and active participation.

### 2. Erasmus+ Experience Zone – “Our European Adventure”

A separate room will be dedicated to presenting our school’s previous Erasmus+ projects and international mobility experiences.

Students and teachers will have the opportunity to watch short videos, explore photographs and discover highlights from our international activities.

Special attention will be given to the recent student mobility to **Thessaloniki, Greece**, where participants completed vocational training placements in catering, hairdressing, automotive services and hospitality.

Students who took part in the mobility will share their personal experiences, talk about the skills they developed and describe what they enjoyed most about their time abroad.

This will be an opportunity for other students to hear directly from their peers and discover what taking part in Erasmus+ can really mean.

### 3. Erasmus+ and European Union Quiz – “Discover Europe!”

Another part of the event will be an interactive quiz introducing students to the European Union and the Erasmus+ programme.

Questions will focus on European countries, flags, cultures, travel opportunities and the benefits of participating in international educational projects.

A special **“Find the Answer!” challenge** will also be organised. Short facts and interesting information about Erasmus+ and the European Union will be displayed on walls and noticeboards around the school.

Students will explore the school, search for information and use what they discover to complete their quiz sheets.

The activity will combine movement, curiosity, problem-solving and learning in an enjoyable and accessible way.

### 4. Learning Through Experience – Erasmus+ for Everyone

The event will be designed to encourage active participation, regardless of students’ age, abilities or vocational background.

Through practical challenges, interactive quizzes, presentations and conversations with Erasmus+ participants, we hope to show that international opportunities are within reach.

Our aim is to help students understand that **Erasmus+ opens doors to new experiences, develops practical and social skills, builds confidence and encourages young people to believe in their potential.**

### Our Message

**Different skills. New experiences. Endless possibilities.**

*Erasmus+ – because opportunities should have no borders!*
