PharmWaste – Launch of the Online Guide and Brochure for Citizens on Pharmaceutical Waste

As part of Erasmus Days 2026, the PharmWaste project “Save the Earth – Dispose Pharmaceutical Waste Smartly” will launch the online versions of its Guide and Brochure for Citizens on the proper disposal of pharmaceutical waste.

The event will present the project, its objectives and key results, with a particular focus on the educational materials developed for citizens. The online Guide and Brochure will provide practical and accessible information on how to handle and properly dispose of unused and expired medicines and other pharmaceutical waste.

The launch will be supported by a communication campaign through the project website, social media and other available communication channels. The activities will aim to increase public awareness of the environmental and health importance of proper pharmaceutical waste disposal and to make the project’s educational resources freely accessible to citizens.

Through this activity, the PharmWaste partnership will disseminate the project’s results and promote responsible practices for pharmaceutical waste management among the wider public.
