MY SKILL, MY FUTURE

“What are you good at today? What do you want to be better at tomorrow?”

*My Skills, My Future* is an interactive student engagement activity designed to encourage self-awareness, personal growth, and reflection on 21st-century skills.

Students will identify one skill they are already good at and one skill they would like to improve. Using colourful Post-it notes, they will share their responses on a collaborative board divided into two sections: “I’m Good At…” and “I Want to Improve…”. A third section, “What Would You Love to Learn?”, will invite students to share personal interests and new skills they hope to acquire.

Suggested skills include communication, creativity, teamwork, problem-solving, critical thinking, leadership, digital skills, foreign languages, adaptability, empathy, and time management. Students will also be encouraged to add their own skills and interests.

The activity will take approximately 2–3 minutes per participant and will be facilitated by student volunteers. By bringing individual reflections together, the board will create a visual snapshot of students’ strengths, aspirations, and learning goals, promoting a culture of lifelong learning, self-improvement, and peer inspiration.

At the end of the week, students will revisit the board under the motto “Look How We’ve Grown!” to reflect on their progress and celebrate their learning journey.
