Mosaic of Europe

As part of the celebration of Erasmus Days, an educational and interactive activity for 8th-grade students will be organised. The activity is designed as an escape room, consisting of a series of connected tasks and puzzles through which students will explore different European countries, their cultures, traditions, art, sports, and literature.

Working in small groups, students will solve a variety of challenges that will gradually guide them on a “journey across Europe.” The tasks will include identifying and describing the flags of European countries, solving riddles related to countries and cities, recognising famous European athletes, interpreting proverbs and idioms characteristic of different countries, identifying European landmarks, works of art and their authors, literary works and writers, as well as traditional dishes and specialties from across Europe.

In addition to the escape room activities, students of 7th and 8th grade will participate in a creative workshop where they will create a textile mosaic on canvas using pieces of recycled fabric and old denim jeans. Through collaborative work, they will contribute to a collective artwork that symbolises European unity in diversity, while also promoting sustainability and the reuse of materials.
