Making Space, Making Change
Creative climate education in schools

This event brings together four Erasmus+ projects exploring creative, collaborative and participatory approaches to climate education and to helping young people understand and shape the places where they live:

Anthropo-Scene – 2024-1-IT02-KA220-SCH-000252765
Playful-ED – 2024-1-BE02-KA210-ADU-000257987
ClimART3 – 2024-1-IT02-KA220-SCH-000251892
Climate Adaptation and Resilience Key in Schools (CLARKS) – 2024-1-ES01-KA220-SCH-000246633

During the event, each project will give a short overview of its work, presenting its main approach, experiences and selected tools or activities that can be used in educational settings. The four projects bring different perspectives and methods, including arts-based and creative approaches, social theatre, participatory learning, animation, futures literacy and scenario thinking.

The presentations will be followed by an open discussion with participants. The discussion will focus on pedagogical approaches, methods and practical tools for bringing creative climate education into the classroom, as well as on the challenges and opportunities educators encounter in different school and learning contexts.

Teachers and educators are the main target group, but everyone interested in creative approaches to climate education is welcome to join. The event is intended as a space for exchange and peer learning: participants will have the opportunity to discover approaches from the four projects, share their own experiences and ideas, and reflect together on how creative climate education can be adapted and used in practice.
