Little Steps, Big Europe: A Colorful Journey Across Europe

Our ErasmusDays event brings Europe closer to preschool children through a colorful and enjoyable cultural journey starting from Ünye, a beautiful coastal town on the Black Sea.
During the activity, children will discover different European countries such as Italy, France and Spain through age-appropriate visuals, stories, music, traditional children’s games, clothing and simple greetings. They will learn words such as “Ciao!”, “Bonjour!” and “Hola!” and practice them through playful activities.
The journey will begin with our own local identity. Children will talk about Ünye, its natural beauty, the Black Sea, local traditions and the importance of living together with respect and friendship. From our town on the Black Sea coast, we will symbolically open a window to Europe and discover the similarities and differences between children from different cultures.
Through this activity, children will understand that although languages, traditions and lifestyles may differ, children everywhere share the same joy of playing, learning, making friends and exploring the world.
The event aims to strengthen children’s cultural awareness, respect for diversity and curiosity about Europe while connecting our local identity in Ünye with a wider European perspective.
