Lights, Camera, English

As part of Erasmus Days 2026, Zespół Szkół Ponadpodstawowych nr 1 in Siedlce is organizing the “Lights, Camera, English!” competition, an educational initiative designed to enhance students’ linguistic, digital, and interpersonal skills. The core task challenges students to produce an original, up to 60-second video in English that creatively explains and demonstrates the meaning of at least two selected English idioms in a natural context.

The project promotes active language acquisition by combining traditional language learning with modern digital media production. Participants have the opportunity to work individually or in teams of up to four, which fosters collaboration, project management, and creative thinking. By shifting the educational focus from classroom theory to practical, creative application, the event perfectly aligns with Erasmus+ values: promoting multilingualism, digital literacy, and student engagement.

All submitted works will be evaluated by a jury based on linguistic accuracy, pronunciation, natural integration of idioms, and overall artistic effect. The project will culminate in a school-wide screening of the best entries ans publishing them on school’s social media. It will be followed with an award ceremony celebrating students’ creativity and language proficiency.
