Learning about European democracies
Calle de los Herrán, 70, 01002 Vitoria-Gasteiz, Spain
IES Los Herran BHI
To celebrate Erasmus days, students from Los Herran high school will create hand made posters to show European linguistic diversity. The students will explore both the official and minority languages of the European Union and locate them in a map. They will also decorate their posters with words in some of these languages. These posters will be displayed in the school corridors.
In addition, we will organize an interactive Kahoot quiz entitled “The Different Systems of Government in Europe”. This activity will allow students to discover and explore the different political systems in European countries, including monarchies, republics, parliamentary systems and presidential systems.
This event aims to promote European values such as democracy, active citizenship, cultural and linguistic diversity, respect and tolerance. By combining the Kahoot quiz on European political systems with an activity exploring the official and minority languages of the European Union, students will discover the rich cultural, linguistic and political diversity of Europe.
