Keep It, Repair It, Play Together — Çamlık Toy Repair and Redesign Workshop
Battalgazi, 1844. Sokak no 10, Altındağ/Ankara, Türkiye
Çamlık Anaokulu
Çamlık Anaokulu, a public preschool in Ankara, Türkiye, will organise “Keep It, Repair It, Play Together” on 16 October 2026, between 08:00 and 18:00, involving approximately 150 children and 10 teachers. Activities will take place in separate classroom sessions throughout the day.
Children and teachers will examine existing school materials, including incomplete puzzles, worn game boxes and repairable books. Children will identify problems, suggest solutions and help transform suitable materials into new games. Adults will carry out technical repairs, and teachers will check all materials before reuse.
The workshop will reflect the Erasmus+ priorities of environmental sustainability, inclusion, democratic participation and digital transformation. Reusing materials will encourage responsible consumption. Flexible tasks, illustrated instructions and accessible play options will enable children with different needs to participate. Children will contribute to decisions about game designs, rules and shared use.
With teacher guidance, children’s drawings, selected explanations and photographs of the materials before and after the workshop will form a digital album. Documentation and sharing will follow the school’s consent and privacy procedures.
The renewed materials will become a shared classroom play collection. The event will also introduce Erasmus+ opportunities for professional learning and cooperation between schools, connecting everyday preschool practice with the programme’s priorities.
