Happy Schools Academy – Skills for Tomorrow Start Today

“Happy Schools Academy” brings an Erasmus+ experience back to our school and turns it into a day of learning, sharing and growing together.

Inspired by activities and methods experienced during an Erasmus+ teacher training course on wellbeing, the event will be led by our eighth-grade students, who will guide younger pupils through six interactive stations. Each station focuses on a different skill for tomorrow – mindfulness, empathy, self-awareness, cooperation, resilience and gratitude.

Students will not simply talk about these skills – they will experience them. They will listen and reflect, discover their strengths, work together to overcome a challenge, practise perseverance, express gratitude and learn to notice the world around them.

The project also gives our older students an important role: by guiding their younger peers, they develop leadership, responsibility, communication and teamwork skills of their own.

“Happy Schools Academy” reflects the Erasmus Days 2026 theme “Learning and Growing: Skills for Tomorrow” by showing that learning goes far beyond textbooks. The skills we need for tomorrow are built today – through experience, cooperation, positive relationships and the courage to grow.
