Flowers for Europe – Our Voices, Our Future
As part of the Erasmus Days 2026, our school will organise a creative workshop focusing on Europe, democracy, diversity and the experiences of our students with Erasmus+.
During the activity, students will decorate paper cups and turn them into small flower arrangements. Each student will use their cup to express a personal thought, message or experience related to Europe, democracy, diversity or Erasmus+.
Students might answer questions such as: Why is democracy important? What does Europe mean to me? What have I learned through Erasmus+? What does diversity mean to me? What do I wish for the future of Europe?
The decorated cups will be filled with small bouquets of flowers. In addition, each student will create a small sign saying “TAKE ME WITH YOU!” (“NIMM MICH MIT!”), symbolising the idea of taking experiences, ideas, values and European perspectives with us.
The activity encourages students to reflect on their experiences and their role as young European citizens. It combines creativity with civic engagement and provides students with an opportunity to express their own voices and ideas.
The finished flower arrangements will be displayed at our school as a colourful “flower garden for Europe”. In this way, individual student voices will become a shared visual statement for a diverse, democratic and connected Europe.
The activity aims to make the values and opportunities of Erasmus+ visible within our school community and to encourage students to actively engage with Europe, international exchange and democratic participation.
