Exchange programme for pupils Vienna-Riga

11th-grade students who study Russian at our school participate in an exchange programme with their peers from Riga Secondary School No. 40 in Latvia, who study German. This is already the fourth exchange since 2023 and reflects our school’s long-standing commitment to international student exchanges.

During the exchange, students stay with host families and attend school, where they participate in specially organised language classes as well as regular lessons alongside their exchange partners. The Erasmus+ project provides valuable opportunities to improve language skills, develop intercultural competence, and gain first-hand experience of everyday life in another country.

This year, 11 students from each school will take part in the programme. They will stay with their host families for 10 days. The Latvian students will visit Vienna in September, while the Austrian students will travel to Riga in October.
