Workshop – Biodiversity
13 October
2. How much do we really know about biodiversity?
The workshop will be held entirely in English.
The “Fresque de la Biodiversité” (Biodiversity Collage) offers a collaborative workshop designed to help participants understand the mechanisms behind biodiversity loss and their consequences.
Using a card game and a collaborative approach, participants will explore the connections between the different components of the living world and the pressures caused by human activities. The aim is to move beyond a fragmented view of environmental issues and gain a better understanding of their interactions and systemic dynamics.
The workshop will cover:
the different dimensions of biodiversity;
interactions between species and ecosystems;
the main causes of biodiversity loss;
the ecological, economic and social consequences of this loss;
ways to take action at different levels.
No prior knowledge is required. The workshop is primarily based on discussion, collective reflection and putting knowledge into perspective.
Date: 13 October
Location: Rue de la Gare 2, 1348 Ottignies-Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium
