Other event

For the ErasmusDays 2026 celebration, Varaždin County will host a special event dedicated to showcasing the impact of the Erasmus+ Programme on education, skills development and European cooperation at local level.
The central focus of the event will be the presentation of the publication “The Erasmus+ Programme in Varaždin County: Results, Success Stories and Inspirations – An Overview of Projects and Good Practices of Schools in Varaždin County.” The publication provides a comprehensive overview of Erasmus+ projects and activities implemented by primary and secondary schools founded by Varaždin County, as well as other educational institutions across the county, during the 2021–2027 programme period up to the end of the 2025/2026 school year.
Developed with the valuable contributions of school principals, Erasmus coordinators, teachers, educational professionals and project collaborators, the publication goes beyond a simple catalogue of projects. It highlights the real impact of international cooperation on students, learners, teachers, support staff and educational institutions. Through personal testimonies and examples of good practice, it demonstrates how Erasmus+ fosters new learning opportunities, strengthens key competences, promotes intercultural understanding, encourages independence and active citizenship, and reinforces European values.
The event will present key findings from a survey conducted among primary and secondary schools founded by Varaždin County, as well as two private secondary schools with public status. Participants will gain insights into the achievements, challenges and long-term benefits of Erasmus+ participation and discover how international projects contribute not only to personal and professional growth but also to the development of the local community as a whole.
Representatives of institutions that have not yet taken part in Erasmus+ projects are especially welcome. The event will offer an excellent opportunity to learn about the benefits of Erasmus+, exchange experiences with successful project beneficiaries and gain inspiration for future participation in European mobility, cooperation and partnership initiatives.
The programme will include:
– A presentation by the Croatian Agency for Mobility and EU Programmes, the national body responsible for implementing Erasmus+.
-Presentation of the survey results on Erasmus+ participation and impact in Varaždin County schools.
– Official launch and presentation of the publication.
– A student panel discussion on Erasmus experiences, future skills, European opportunities and the value of international cooperation.
By giving a voice to young people and highlighting successful project stories, the event aims to increase the visibility of Erasmus+ projects among the wider public, parents, media representatives and decision-makers, while promoting the importance of investing in skills, international cooperation and a shared European future.
Together, we will celebrate how Erasmus+ transforms lives, strengthens communities and helps shape the Europe of tomorrow.

Follow-up Event – From Erasmus+ Experience to an eTwinning Story
The ErasmusDays celebrations in Varaždin County will continue beyond the official ErasmusDays 2026 dates with a follow-up workshop on 21 October 2026 entitled “From Erasmus+ Experience to an eTwinning Story.” The workshop will demonstrate how Erasmus+ experiences can be transformed into valuable opportunities for further collaboration, learning and active student engagement. Through examples of good practice and interactive activities, participants will explore ways of linking Erasmus+ project dissemination with eTwinning and develop practical ideas for bringing mobility experiences into the classroom and the wider school community. The workshop will be delivered on behalf of the Agency for Mobility and EU Programmes by eTwinning Ambassador Ana Marketin-Sedlar.
