Erasmus Days 2026 at Primary School No. 41 in Bydgoszcz
“Europe of SKILLS – Skills for the Future”
From 12 to 16 October 2026, Primary School No. 41 in Bydgoszcz will celebrate Erasmus Days, an international initiative promoting European cooperation, education and personal development. This year, our activities will focus on future skills – the abilities that will help our students thrive in a rapidly changing world.
Throughout the week, we will show that school is not only a place to gain knowledge, but also a space where students can develop creativity, critical thinking, communication and collaboration skills.
Our students will take part in European challenges, games, puzzles and activities designed to develop future skills. One of the main attractions will be an escape room for students in Years 2–8, where participants will solve puzzles requiring logical thinking, attention to detail, creativity and teamwork. To discover the final password, students will need to join forces, exchange ideas and work together to complete a series of challenges. It will be a great opportunity to discover that we can achieve more when we work together!
Our school will also feature “My Future Career” posters, created by students. This activity will give them an opportunity to present their dreams, interests and ideas about their future careers, as well as reflect on the skills people will need in different professions. Among our students, there may be future scientists, programmers, designers, engineers or even pioneers of professions that have not yet been invented!
Robotics and programming will also play an important role in our celebrations. Students will develop logical thinking, planning, problem-solving and technological creativity. Working with robots and code will show them that digital skills are not just about using modern devices, but also about applying technology consciously and creatively.
As part of the celebrations, we will launch a school video campaign in which teachers will answer the question: “If I weren’t a teacher, I would be…”. Through short videos, we will share our passions, interests and ideas about alternative career paths, showing that curiosity and a willingness to learn throughout life know no limits.
On Friday, 16 October, we will welcome students from a hairdressing school to our school. They will introduce our students to their profession and share their experiences of vocational education. Their visit will be a great opportunity to explore different career paths, discover the importance of practical skills and learn more about the competencies needed in today’s job market.
Throughout the week, we will develop future skills through hands-on activities, experimentation, collaboration and creative problem-solving. We will demonstrate the importance of openness to other cultures, foreign language skills, creativity, critical thinking and digital competence in today’s world.
Erasmus Days at Primary School No. 41 will be a week of collaboration, creativity, technology and inspiration! We want to show that we develop future skills together and that European education begins with curiosity, openness and a willingness to take action.
Because the future doesn’t just happen. The future starts today!
