As part of Erasmus Days 2026, three European schools — 3rd Senior High School of Korydallos “Melina Mercouri” (Greece), IIS Galileo Galilei in Florence (Italy) and IES Práxedes Mateo Sagasta in Logroño (Spain) — are jointly organizing an international online event focused on collaboration, intercultural dialogue and the development of shared European educational initiatives.

For the second consecutive year, our school continues its fruitful cooperation with IIS Galileo Galilei and joins its Italian partners in celebrating Erasmus Days. This year, our partnership expands with the participation of the Spanish school, opening new opportunities for communication and collaboration among students and teachers from the three countries.

A special highlight of this year’s event will be the presentation of the recent visit of Spanish teacher Eugenio Gómez Segura to our school as part of the Erasmus+ Job Shadowing programme. A short video featuring memorable moments from his visit will be screened, highlighting the importance of exchanging educational experiences, observing teaching practices and strengthening European partnerships.

During the online meeting, students and teachers from the three countries will introduce their schools and cultures, get to know one another, exchange experiences and participate in interactive activities, fostering a spirit of European cooperation and mutual understanding.

A central highlight of the event will be the presentation of our plan to create a shared European Digital Museum. Building on the rich collection of artworks housed at the Greek school, we aim to develop an interactive digital space enriched through the active collaboration of all three partner schools.

Students will play an active role in researching, digitizing and presenting artworks, creating multimedia content and showcasing the artistic and cultural heritage of their respective countries. Through this initiative, art will become a bridge connecting young Europeans, combining cultural education with creativity and modern digital technologies.

The main aim of the event is to strengthen European school partnerships, promote inclusion, intercultural dialogue, digital creativity and active European citizenship. At the same time, we seek to encourage students to build meaningful connections with their peers across Europe and actively contribute to shaping a shared European educational and cultural space.
