Meeting Presentation

Erasmus+ Coffee Break: Discover Europe is a small-scale, informal and interactive awareness-raising activity organized to celebrate Erasmus Days and promote Erasmus+ opportunities, European cultures, international cooperation and lifelong learning.

The event will take place in a relaxed, café-style environment where teachers and students will come together around coffee, tea and light refreshments. The aim is to create a friendly and welcoming atmosphere in which participants can communicate freely, exchange ideas, ask questions and learn more about European mobility and learning opportunities outside a formal classroom setting.

The activity will begin with a brief introduction to Erasmus+ and Erasmus Days, highlighting the importance of European cooperation, cultural diversity, international experiences and educational opportunities. Instead of a formal presentation, the information will be shared through an informal conversation between teachers and students.

During the event, participants will use specially prepared information cards containing short facts, questions and discussion prompts about Erasmus+, European countries, cultural traditions, languages, student and teacher mobility, and international learning experiences. Participants will select cards, read the questions and share their thoughts and answers with the group. Sample questions include: “Which European country would you like to visit and why?”, “What can we learn from different cultures?”, “How can international experiences contribute to personal and professional development?” and “What opportunities can Erasmus+ offer to learners and teachers?”

A European country and culture activity will also encourage participants to talk about their favourite destinations, languages, traditions and cultural experiences. Teachers and students will have the opportunity to share their perspectives, learn from one another and strengthen communication in a relaxed and inclusive setting.

The event will conclude with a short reflection in which participants share one new thing they have learned or one European destination they would like to discover in the future. Photographs will be taken during the activity for Erasmus Days documentation and dissemination, with appropriate attention to participants’ consent and privacy.

The main objectives are to raise awareness of Erasmus+ opportunities, encourage intercultural dialogue, strengthen teacher-student communication, promote European values and cultural diversity, and create interest in international learning experiences. The activity is designed to be accessible, engaging and easy to participate in, without requiring extensive preparation or formal presentations.

The event is expected to involve approximately under 100 participants, including teachers and students, and will last around 1 hour. Through this simple coffee-break activity, participants will have the opportunity to discover Europe, exchange ideas and celebrate the spirit of Erasmus Days together.
