Erasmus Changes Perspectives – From Experience to Action: The OliEdu Competence Map

Erasmus can change the way we see ourselves, other people and our role in society. During this presentation, OliEdu will explore how international mobility and Erasmus+ experiences can translate into practical skills, active citizenship and greater participation in democratic life.

For this reason will focus on the question: “Which competences can we gain abroad that school, university or work might not teach us?”

We will present selected competences that can be developed through Erasmus+ experiences, including intercultural communication, teamwork, problem-solving, digital competences, social skills, empathy, adaptability and civic engagement.

Our presentation will also connect these competences with OliEdu’s work in adult education, advocacy and inclusion. We will show how participation tools and inclusive educational methods can support European democratic values and create opportunities for vulnerable groups to have a stronger voice in society.

Next, we will conclude with the creation of a shared “OliEdu Competence Map”, showing how Erasmus experiences can lead from personal development to concrete action in local communities and beyond.

We stronly beleive that preparing and sharing an inspiring and interactive presentation, combining examples, reflection questions and practical ideas that participants can take into their own educational, professional and civic activities will help them to get more confidence and readiness to develop new skills needed in everyday life.
