From 14 to 16 October 2026, IES Miguel Durán in Azuaga (Badajoz) will celebrate “EraMDus Days: Past, Present and Future of Erasmus at IES Miguel Durán”, as part of the official Erasmus Days initiative. This three-day event will bring together students, teachers, families and the wider educational community to celebrate our European experience, share what we have learned and imagine the future of internationalisation at our school.
The event will be organised around three ideas: remembering our Erasmus past, sharing our Erasmus present and designing our Erasmus future.
Day 1 – Our Erasmus Past: Remember, Share, Celebrate
We will transform the school’s Erasmus Corner into a visual journey through our international experience. Students and teachers who have participated in Erasmus mobilities to Italy, Portugal, Germany, France, Poland and Finland will collaborate to create a large collage of photographs, memories and emblematic moments. We will also launch the EraMDus Wall of Learning, where former participants in courses, job shadowing, work placements and group mobilities will write on Post-its the most important learning experience they brought back from Europe. These reflections will later be digitised and published on the EraMDus site.
Day 2 – Our Erasmus Present: Europe in Our School
We will showcase our current Erasmus+ activities, including VET Short and our current KA122-SCH project, “Euroconnecting: Internationalization and Co-teaching for Global Inclusion at IES Miguel Durán.” A promotional video will bring together testimonies from students, teachers and families. We will also create an EraMDus Class Photo Board, celebrating everyone who has contributed to our European journey. The school will be decorated with photographs, evidence and European-themed displays, creating a genuine Erasmus atmosphere throughout the building.
Day 3 – Our Erasmus Future: Imagine, Design, Connect
Through the EraMDus Club, the library, the assembly hall and the staff room, students and teachers will take part in brainstorming sessions about the Erasmus projects we would like to develop from 2027 onwards: possible destinations, types of mobility, new partners, learning objectives and areas for improvement identified within our school. The aim is to make internationalisation a shared project built by the whole educational community.
As a special closing activity, on Friday 16 October at 12:30, ten students and two teachers who have just returned from their French group mobility (5–12 October 2026) will visit Radio Azuaga, located at the Town Hall, to record a special Erasmus programme and share their experiences with the local community.
Throughout the three days, photographs, videos and students’ productions will be shared through our social media and Erasmus channels, extending the celebration beyond the school.
EraMDus Days will be more than a celebration: it will be an opportunity to remember where we have come from, recognise where we are today and, above all, decide together where we want to go next.
