Educating for Sustainability and European Values

The Directorate of Primary Education of Heraklion, in collaboration with the Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences and the Environmental and Sustainability Education Cente of Archanes-Rouvas-Gouves, is organizing an open event as part of the Erasmus Days, focusing on sustainability in education. Within the framework of approved Erasmus+ projects, educators and partner organizations from Greece, Cyprus, and France will engage in presentations, discussions, and hands-on workshops aimed at exchanging good practices and strengthening cross-border collaboration in the field of environmental education.
The event highlights the six core values of the European Union – Human Dignity, Freedom, Democracy, Equality, Rule of Law, and Human Rights, promoting inclusion, tolerance, justice, and non-discrimination. Through targeted educational actions, the event seeks to raise awareness in school communities and foster a European consciousness, positioning education as a catalyst for positive environmental and social change.
