EcoEvent

As part of Erasmus Week along the banks of the Sava River in Šabac, the activity “EcoEvent” brings together young people for an engaging, hands-on experience organized in close cooperation with the local Scouts that combines environmental protection with international youth opportunities. Together, young participants will clean up waste along the riverbank while collecting dry branches and fallen wood to build an authentic outdoor campfire. Following the clean-up, teams will put their skills to the test in a fun cooking competition over the open fire, preparing diverse international dishes—such as Italian carbonara, Spanish paella, and local uštipci—to highlight the vibrant interculturality and diversity fostered by the Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps programs. While sharing the meals around the fire, we will enjoy an interactive quiz and a dynamic discussion exploring local ecology and demonstrating how European mobility programs empower young people to drive meaningful climate action on an international level.
