Eco Heroes & SDG Activities

As part of #ErasmusDays 2026, our school is hosting “SDG Word Hunt & Matching Challenge”, an engaging and collaborative educational activity designed to raise awareness of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The activity supports the spirit of Erasmus Days by bringing students together to learn, collaborate, communicate in English, share ideas, and develop a stronger sense of European and global citizenship. It encourages students to think creatively about sustainability and their role in creating positive change.

Throughout the day, students work in teams with active roles such as Searcher 🔎, Recorder 📝, Matcher 🧩, and Speaker 🗣️. Teams explore designated areas of the school to find hidden English SDG terms and connect them with relevant icons, descriptions, and real-life actions. Students leave the cards in their original places and record their findings on their team sheets.

In the Eco Hero activity, students create their own environmental heroes inspired by an SDG. They give their hero a name and a special superpower, identify a problem related to their chosen SDG, and develop a creative solution that their hero can offer. Some students also dress up as their Eco Heroes, bringing their characters and ideas to life.

The activities promote environmental awareness, teamwork, creativity, English communication, problem-solving, and active citizenship, while celebrating the spirit of Erasmus+ and encouraging students to see themselves as active contributors to a more sustainable future.
