An exhibition will be organised at the Lille Metropole site of the Hauts-de-France Regional Institute of Social Work on ‘Digital Technology and Empowerment in Social Work Training’, based on the initial findings from the NEF cooperation partnership project.
The NEF project brings together six partners in France, Belgium, Portugal and Romania, united by a common goal: to promote the self-determination of vulnerable people in the digital age, in close connection with the training and practices of social workers.
NEF is based on a simple observation: today, access to rights and independence increasingly depends on digital technology, yet there are significant inequalities in terms of usage and access. This project aims to make digital technology a genuine lever for empowerment, targeting two groups:
People in vulnerable situations (disability, precarious living conditions, isolation, ageing, mental health, child protection);
Social workers and social work students, by providing them with tailored tools and training to support this process of empowerment.
The issue of acquiring professional skills will also be a key focus of the exhibition.
