Archaeology Day at the Archaeological Centre Olomouc

As part of Erasmus Days 2026, the Archaeological Centre Olomouc will open its doors to the public and present how international cooperation and Erasmus+ mobility contribute to museum education, public archaeology and the communication of cultural heritage.

Visitors of all ages will explore stories from prehistory to the modern era, including prehistoric wells discovered near Kojetín, the ancient production of copper and the remarkable story of a coffee bean dating back to 1866. The programme will also feature creative activities, demonstrations and workshops, including the making of prehistoric bracelets.

The event will share knowledge and inspiration gained through international Erasmus+ cooperation and show how archaeological discoveries can be transformed into engaging educational experiences for children and adults.
