COLPBOL EURO-TOURNAMENT

A sports tournament is proposed for 1º and 2ºESO students, inspired by various EU members; participating students will represent six national teams: Spain, France, Italy, Germany, Portugal, and the Netherlands.
Each team will have a flag made by themselves and will be identifiable by t-shirts, bibs, or clothing in their country’s representative colors. The aim is to create a festive, participatory atmosphere linked to the European theme of the special Erasmus Days celebration in our school.
The activity will take the form of a *Colpbol* competition—a team sport that fosters cooperation, participation, and fair play. Matches will be short, adapted to the time available during recess, and will consist of an initial knockout stage followed by a final phase comprising the semi-finals and the tournament final including anthems and symbols of the countries involved in the competition.
Our goals are
– Encourage physical activity and healthy lifestyle habits.
– Promote inclusion since all members of these groups will be part of the teams, no matter what their sports skills are
– Promote social interaction, cooperation, respect, and fair play.
– Foster student participation in shared sports activities.
– Introduce students to different EU countries through the representation of their flags and colors.
– Strengthen a sense of responsibility, respect for rules, and acceptance of results.
– Engage students to participate with their peers in the recess periods with sports and recreational activities.
