CHEF Toolkit: Empowering Hospitality Students for Healthier Futures
Via Giacomo Venezian, 1, Milano, Metropolitan City of Milan, Italy
LILT MILANO MONZA BRIANZA
Online Presentation of the CHEF Toolkit for Hospitality Schools in Milan and Monza Brianza.
This online event will introduce the CHEF Toolkit to teachers and educators from hospitality schools in Milan and Monza Brianza, showcasing the results of the Erasmus+ KA210-VET CHEF project and the collaborative work carried out by the project partners.
Starting from the European Code Against Cancer (ECAC), which served as the scientific foundation of the project, participants will be guided through the European policy context and the importance of promoting health education within vocational education and training. The session will explore how schools can play a key role in raising awareness of cancer prevention, healthy lifestyles, and informed food choices among future hospitality professionals.
The event will present the methodology and development process behind the CHEF Toolkit, highlighting the international cooperation that made it possible to create practical and engaging educational resources for hospitality teachers. Designed specifically for use in classrooms and practical kitchen laboratories, the toolkit aims to support educators in integrating health promotion and cancer prevention topics into their teaching activities in an accessible and relevant way.
Participants will also discover the toolkit’s structure, learning materials, and practical exercises, developed to encourage active learning and stimulate reflection on the relationship between nutrition, lifestyle, and long-term health. By empowering teachers with innovative educational tools, the CHEF project seeks to contribute to the development of healthier habits among students and future professionals in the hospitality and catering sector.
The webinar will provide an opportunity to share experiences, foster dialogue between education and public health stakeholders, and promote the adoption of educational practices that support wellbeing, prevention, and lifelong healthy choices.
